Troubleshoot Glitches Not Appearing or Appearing Too Subtly

Verify Shader is Active

Confirm GlitchFaultShaders is selected in your shader options menu. Some launchers require explicitly enabling shaders in video settings before any pack takes effect. Check that shaders are toggled ON in your graphics settings.

Check Intensity Settings

If effects are invisible, your current configuration may have distortion strength set to minimum. Open shader options and increase:

  • Glitch intensity to maximum
  • Distortion strength to high values
  • Corruption line visibility to maximum

Test in Optimal Conditions

Glitch effects may be subtle in bright daylight. Visit caves, play at night, or use commands to set specific times of day. Glitches often appear more pronounced in darker environments.

Verify GPU Compatibility

If effects remain absent even at maximum settings, your graphics card may not fully support the shader's advanced features. Try lowering other graphics settings (render distance, anti-aliasing) to free up GPU resources for shader processing.

Restart Game

Shader changes sometimes require a full game restart to apply correctly. Close and reopen Minecraft after adjusting settings.
