Disable Glitches in Specific Situations
Check for Conditional Settings
Some shader packs allow toggling effects based on game state. Open shader options and search for toggles labeled:
- Disable in menus – removes glitches from pause screens and GUIs
- Reduce during combat – lessens effects when taking damage
- Cave mode – separate settings for underground visibility
Create Custom Profiles
If your shader supports multiple configuration profiles, create one optimized for exploration (higher glitch intensity) and another for building or PvP (minimal effects). Switch between them as needed.
Partial Disable Options
If full disabling isn't available, reduce specific elements:
- Turn off screen shake while keeping color distortion
- Disable corruption lines while keeping terrain warping
- Remove sky glitches while preserving block distortion
Performance-Based Adjustments
If frame rate drops significantly during intense glitch moments (storms, large explosions), disable glitch effects during those specific events. This maintains the aesthetic during normal play while preventing stuttering during demanding scenes.
