Luminous Glass is the light-emitting member of the set. Craft it with a shaped recipe that combines Glass with a light-producing ingredient. The result is a glass block that glows, so you can light a room without placing torches, lanterns, or other fixtures on the floor or walls.

Where to Use It

Use Luminous Glass anywhere you want light and a clean glass look at the same time:

• Ceiling panels in a base where you do not want visible light sources.
• Windows that double as room lighting.
• Underwater or outdoor builds where torches would look out of place.
• Corridors where you want even light along the whole length.

Because it is still Glass, you can place it next to Ethereal Glass, Ghostly Glass, Redstone Glass, or the tinted variants without breaking the visual style. If you want a walk-through lit window, pair Luminous Glass with Ethereal Glass in the same wall.

Luminous Glass is crafted, not smelted, so you can make it in bulk at a crafting table as long as you have Glass and the light ingredient. Stock both before starting a large lighting project.
