How to Craft Ethereal Glass and Walk Through It

Crafting Ethereal Glass

Ethereal Glass is the base block for the see-through-but-walk-through family. Craft it with a shaped recipe using Glass and a light source item in your grid. Once you have the block, place it like any normal glass pane or block.

Using Ethereal Glass

Ethereal Glass looks solid but does not block player movement. Walk straight into it and you pass through. This makes it useful for hidden doors, mob-proof windows, and one-way passages where you want visibility without collision.

If you need the opposite behavior, craft Reverse Ethereal Glass instead. Reverse Ethereal Glass blocks players but lets other entities pass, so it works for keeping yourself out while mobs move freely.

For a darker look that still lets you pass through, craft Tinted Ethereal Glass. For the blocked-player variant with the tinted appearance, craft Tinted Reverse Ethereal Glass.

All four blocks share the same crafting logic: start from Glass and combine it with the appropriate modifier item to switch between the ethereal and reverse behaviors, and between clear and tinted appearances. Keep a stack of Glass on hand so you can convert between variants as your build changes.
