How to Craft a Gilding Upgrade

The Gilding Upgrade is the item that turns ordinary Netherite and Enderite armor into their Gilded versions. You need one Gilding Upgrade per armor piece you want to convert.

Crafting the Gilding Upgrade

Open a crafting table and use the shaped recipe for the Gilding Upgrade. Place the required ingredients in the pattern the recipe book shows for the Gilding Upgrade. Once crafted, the Gilding Upgrade sits in your inventory like any other item and is consumed when you apply it.

Planning Your Upgrades

Because each Gilded armor piece requires its own Gilding Upgrade, decide which pieces matter most before you start. A full set of Gilded Netherite armor needs four Gilding Upgrades, and a full set of Gilded Enderite armor needs four more. Craft the Gilding Upgrades in batches so you do not run back to the crafting table between each piece.

Keep your Gilding Upgrades somewhere safe until you have the base armor ready. They are the bottleneck in the whole progression, so losing a stack sets you back more than losing the armor itself.
