Raw Drops

Genetic animals drop Raw Chicken and Raw Rabbit. These are the raw forms and can be eaten, but cooking them is better. You can also get Weak Rabbit Stew, a stew item made with rabbit drops.

Cooking Methods

There are three ways to cook the raw drops: smelting in a furnace, smoking in a smoker, and campfire cooking on a campfire. All three turn Raw Chicken into Cooked Chicken and Raw Rabbit into Cooked Rabbit. Smoking is the fastest of the three. Campfire cooking needs no fuel beyond the campfire itself.

Using the Results

Cooked Chicken and Cooked Rabbit are the finished food items. Keep a stack of each for travel. If you are processing a large batch, use a smoker for speed and a campfire for cooking while you work nearby. Weak Rabbit Stew is a separate rabbit-based item; make it when you want a stew rather than plain cooked meat. Store cooked drops separately from raw drops so you do not mix them up in a chest.
