How to Build with Blackstone and Polished Blackstone

Basic Blackstone Blocks

Mine Blackstone in the Nether. It can be crafted into Polished Blackstone using a crafting recipe. From Polished Blackstone, craft Polished Blackstone Bricks, then Chiseled Polished Blackstone, Cracked Polished Blackstone Bricks, Polished Blackstone Slab, Polished Blackstone Stairs, and Polished Blackstone Wall. Each of these has a specific shaped recipe.

Brick Variants and Walls

Polished Blackstone Bricks can be further crafted into Polished Blackstone Brick Slab, Polished Blackstone Brick Stairs, and Polished Blackstone Brick Wall. For basic Blackstone, you can craft Blackstone Slab, Blackstone Stairs, and Blackstone Wall directly. Gilded Blackstone is a separate block found in the Nether; it cannot be crafted from regular Blackstone.

Use these blocks for dark, blast-resistant builds. Blackstone and its variants are stone-type blocks, so they require a pickaxe to mine. Combine them with Basalt or Polished Basalt for contrast. Basalt Pillar is crafted from Basalt and can be placed directionally.
