Making Coloured Sofas, Curtains, and Awnings

The Colour Family

Eight colours are available across the soft furnishing pieces: Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, and the rest of the set. Each colour exists for Sofa, Curtain, Awning, Paper Lamp, Plate, Showcase, and Amphora.

That means a Black Sofa, Black Curtain, Black Awning, Black Paper Lamp, Black Plate, Black Showcase, and Black Amphora all exist, and the same seven items exist in Blue, Brown, and Cyan.

Crafting Approach

All of these are made through the furnish:furniture_making recipe type. The colour is set by the dye you feed into the recipe; the shape of the recipe is the same within a colour family.

1. Decide your colour first — Black, Blue, Brown, or Cyan.

2. Gather that dye in bulk. You will want it for seven different items.

3. Craft the Sofa and Curtain first; they are the largest visual pieces.

4. Add Awning for exterior or window coverage.

5. Add Paper Lamp for lighting.

6. Finish with Plate, Showcase, and Amphora as decor.

Because the recipe shape repeats, once you have made one Black item you know how to make every Black item. Do not switch colours mid-batch — dye is consumed per craft and mixing palettes wastes material.

A room using one colour across Sofa, Curtain, Awning, and Paper Lamp looks intentional; a room mixing four colours looks like leftovers.
