How to Use Task Screens for Multiplayer Quest Objectives

Placing a Task Screen

Task Screens come in several sizes: Task Screen, Task Screen (1x1), Task Screen (3x3), Task Screen (5x5), and Task Screen (7x7). Place the block where you want players to interact with a quest. Larger sizes display more task information.

Linking a Quest

Use the Task Screen Configurator on a Task Screen to assign a quest to it. Right-click the screen with the configurator, then select the quest you want it to represent. Once linked, the screen shows the quest's tasks and progress.

Submitting Items

Players right-click the Task Screen with the required items in their inventory. The screen consumes the items and updates the quest progress for that player. This lets multiple players contribute to the same quest without opening the Quest Book.

When to Use Screens

Task Screens are useful in public areas, shops, or spawn hubs where you want players to submit quest items without navigating the book. Combine them with a Quest Barrier or Stage Barrier to gate access to areas until a quest is complete.
