How to Set Up Loot Crates and Open Them

Obtaining Loot Crates

Loot Crates are rewards from completed quests. When a quest grants a Loot Crate, it appears in your inventory. You cannot craft Loot Crates directly — they come from quest rewards.

Opening a Loot Crate

Place a Loot Crate Opener block. Right-click the Loot Crate Opener with a Loot Crate in hand. The opener consumes the crate and produces its contents. The opener must be placed in the world before use.

What Loot Crates Contain

Loot Crate contents are defined by the quest or pack author. They can include items, blocks, or other rewards. Each crate type may have different loot tables.

Using Loot Crates in Progression

If a quest requires a Loot Crate as a task item, you must obtain one from another quest's reward first. Check the quest lines that lead to the crate you need. Some quests chain: complete quest A to get a Loot Crate, open it with the Loot Crate Opener, then use the contents to complete quest B.
