Optimize Performance on Lower-End Computers
Reduce Shadow Quality
In shader options, lower the shadow resolution or shadow distance setting. This significantly reduces GPU load while maintaining visible shadows. Shorter shadow distances mean shadows only render near the player.
Disable or Lower Reflection Quality
Find reflection or PBR reflection settings. Disable reflections on distant blocks or reduce reflection resolution. Water and smooth blocks will still show reflections, but with less detail and processing overhead.
Decrease Bloom Radius
Reduce the bloom spread distance. Bloom effects will be tighter around light sources, using less computational power while keeping the visual style intact.
Lower Render Distance Selectively
If performance remains poor, reduce your overall render distance in Video Settings. Pair this with shader distance settings to prevent lag spikes.
Monitor Frame Rate
Use F3 debug screen to watch your FPS. Adjust one setting at a time and test in different biomes and lighting conditions. Find the balance where your frame rate stays stable and visuals remain appealing.
Use Compatibility Mode
If available, enable a "fast" or "lite" mode in shader options designed for lower-end systems.
