Enhance Water and Reflective Surface Appearance

Enable PBR Reflections

Confirm that PBR (Physically Based Rendering) is enabled in your shader settings. This allows water, ice, and polished blocks to display realistic reflections of the sky, sun, and nearby objects.

Adjust Reflection Intensity

Locate the reflection strength or mirror intensity slider. Increase it to make water and smooth surfaces more mirror-like, or decrease it for subtler reflections that still show detail without being overwhelming.

Modify Water Color and Clarity

Some shader options include water-specific settings. Adjust water fog distance to control how far you can see underwater. Increase clarity for transparent water or reduce it for murkier, more atmospheric underwater scenes.

Test Different Surfaces

Visit various blocks that support reflections: water, ice, dark oak wood, obsidian, and polished stone variants. Each surface may reflect differently based on its material properties.

Balance with Performance

If reflections cause frame rate drops, reduce reflection resolution or disable reflections on distant objects. You can maintain high-quality reflections near the player while keeping performance stable.
