What Leaf Carpets Are For

Each hedge in the mod has a matching leaf carpet: Apple Oak Leaf Carpet, Budding Oak Leaf Carpet, Blossoming Oak Leaf Carpet, and Flowering Oak Leaf Carpet. Carpets are thin blocks, so they sit on top of the ground rather than replacing it. That makes them ideal for paths, patios, and ground cover where you want the look of leaves without a full hedge wall.

Laying a Path

1. Choose the stage you want. Budding Oak Leaf Carpet for a fresh, early look; Blossoming Oak Leaf Carpet or Flowering Oak Leaf Carpet for flowers; Apple Oak Leaf Carpet for the mature orchard feel.

2. Place a solid block underneath if the ground is uneven, so the carpet has a flat surface.

3. Lay the carpet in a continuous line from one area to another. Because carpets are thin, you can step onto them without jumping.

4. Border the path with the matching hedge block — for example, Apple Oak Leaf Carpet with Apple Oak Hedge — to frame the walkway.

Ground Cover Ideas

• Cover a courtyard floor with Flowering Oak Leaf Carpet for a bloom-heavy surface.
• Ring a tree or a fountain with Budding Oak Leaf Carpet to mark the edge.
• Use Apple Oak Leaf Carpet under your orchard hedges so fallen-looking leaves match the fruiting stage.
• Mix stages in a checkerboard to show all four looks in one small area. Since carpets are thin, you can swap them out later without disturbing the blocks beneath.
