How to Use Chilloo Feathers and Lamps

Collecting Feathers

Chilloo Feathers drop from Chilloo, the mod's bird mob. Spawn one with a Chilloo Spawn Egg if you cannot find one in the wild. Feathers are the raw material for the mod's light and decoration blocks.

Feather Blocks and Covering

Combine Chilloo Feathers to craft a Chilloo Feather Block, a soft decorative block. From there you can craft Chilloo Feather Covering, a thinner surface layer used to drape over builds. Both are purely decorative and share the feather texture.

Making a Feather Lamp

Craft a Chilloo Feather Lamp using Chilloo Feathers. The lamp is a light-emitting block, so place it in ceilings or walls where you want soft illumination without torches. It fits naturally into snow and ice builds alongside Compacted Snow Bricks and Cut Ice.

Other Uses for Feathers

Feathers also feed into the mod's other recipes, so keep a spare stack. If you are raising Chilloo for feathers, pair them with Penguins and Reindeer — all three spawn from their respective spawn eggs and provide the mod's animal-derived materials, including Truffles and Hoof Armor for Reindeer.
