How to Build a Working Framed Drawer Controller Setup

Place the controller and slaves

Place a Framed Drawer Controller where you want to manage your storage network. Every drawer you want the controller to reach must be connected to it through Framed Controller Slaves. Place a Framed Controller Slave so it touches the controller, then place your Framed Drawer, Framed Drawers 1x2, Framed Drawers 2x2, Framed Half Drawer, Framed Half Drawers 1x2, Framed Half Drawers 2x2, or Framed Compacting Drawer against that slave. Drawers that touch a slave become part of the controller's network.

Expand the network

Chain additional Framed Controller Slaves from the first slave so the network reaches further. Each slave you add extends the reach to the drawers touching it. Keep every drawer touching at least one slave or the controller itself, otherwise it stays standalone and the controller will not see it.

Use the controller

Once connected, interacting with the Framed Drawer Controller lets you insert and extract items across every linked drawer at once. This is the fastest way to pull a specific item out of a large wall of Framed Drawers without opening each one. If a drawer stops responding, check that its slave still touches both the drawer and the rest of the network.
