Setting Up an Archeology Workbench and Analyzer
Crafting the Workbench
Craft an Archeology Workbench at a crafting table using Ancient Wood Planks and Ancient Stone. Place it in your base near a light source. The workbench is where raw fossil material is processed into Bio Fossil and Bio Goo.
Using the Workbench
Right-click the Archeology Workbench to open its interface. Insert Calcite Fossil Block or Bio Fossil into the input slot. The workbench outputs Bio Fossil and Bio Goo. Collect both — Bio Goo is required for every Culture Vat recipe, and Bio Fossil is the input for the Analyzer.
Crafting and Using the Analyzer
Craft an Analyzer from Ancient Stone Bricks and Ancient Glass. Place it next to the workbench. Insert Bio Fossil into the Analyzer. After processing, the Analyzer outputs an identified fossil item such as %s Tooth, %s Claw, %s Horn, %s Fang, %s Shell, or %s Plates. Each identified fossil maps to one creature.
Culture Vat Integration
Craft a Culture Vat from Ancient Glass and Ancient Stone Bricks. Place it beside the Analyzer. Insert an identified fossil plus Bio Goo into the Culture Vat. The vat produces an %s Egg. Keep the three blocks — Workbench, Analyzer, Culture Vat — in a row for an efficient production line. Add an Ancient Chest nearby to store spare fossils and eggs.
