How to Use the Archeology Workbench and Analyzer

The Archeology Workbench

Craft an Archeology Workbench and place it down. Right-click to open its interface. Place a Bio Fossil into the input slot. The workbench extracts random Bones and DNA from the fossil.

Possible outputs include Skulls, Ribcages, Leg Bones, Arm Bones, Vertebrae, Teeth, Claws, Hooves, Horns, Tusks, Fangs, Fins, Wings, Sails, Shells, Plates, Scleretic Rings, Sac, Antlers, Hands, Feet, Fingers, Boss, and DNA. Each Bio Fossil yields a random selection.

You can also place Ancient Stone into the workbench to craft Ancient Stone Bricks, Ancient Stone Slabs, Ancient Stone Stairs, and Ancient Stone Walls using the fossil:worktable recipe type.

The Analyzer

Craft an Analyzer and place it down. Right-click to open its interface. Insert unidentified DNA into the input slot. The Analyzer processes the DNA and outputs a labeled DNA sample identifying the species.

Without analysis, DNA cannot be used in the Culture Vat. Always run DNA through the Analyzer first.

Additional Uses

The Archeology Workbench also processes Ancient Wood Logs into Ancient Wood Planks, Slabs, and Stairs. Use Ancient Glass for decorative builds. Craft Ancient Chests to store your finds. Ancient Keys open Ancient Chests found in Ancient Stone structures underground.

Combine Ancient Helmet fragments with Broken Ancient Helmet pieces at the workbench to restore the full Ancient Helmet. Similarly, repair Broken Ancient Sword into a usable Ancient Sword.
