Utility items like saddles and name tags are essential for gameplay but tedious to find in loot chests. Forged Rarities lets you craft both using common survival materials.

For a saddle, collect leather (from cows or horses) and iron ingots (from mining or smelting). For a name tag, gather string (from spiders or breaking cobwebs) and paper (from sugar cane).

Crafting Process

Place your leather and iron ingot in the crafting grid in the saddle recipe pattern—typically leather pieces surrounding an iron ingot. The result is a functional saddle ready to place on horses, donkeys, or llamas.

For name tags, arrange string and paper in their designated pattern. Once crafted, use the name tag on an anvil to name it, then apply it to any mob to prevent despawning.

You can also craft other utility items like bells using iron bars and wood, and bells serve as useful alarm systems or decoration. This approach saves enormous time compared to chest-hunting and lets you equip multiple animals or name important pets without RNG frustration.
