Troubleshoot Font Shaders Not Displaying
Verify Installation
If Font Shaders isn't rendering text characters across your world:
1. Confirm OptiFine is installed and active (check Video Settings for the Shaders option)
2. Verify the Font Shaders pack file is in the correct shaders folder
3. Restart Minecraft completely after adding the shader
4. Check that Font Shaders is actually selected in the Shaders menu (not "Off")
Performance and Compatibility Issues
Font Shaders may fail to display properly if:
- Your graphics card doesn't support the required shader version
- Render distance is set extremely high, causing rendering errors
- Other mods conflict with shader rendering
- Java memory allocation is too low
Solutions
Try reducing render distance to 8-12 chunks, lowering graphics settings, or allocating more RAM to Minecraft. If the shader still doesn't work, verify your OptiFine version is current and compatible with your Minecraft version.
