How to Build Your First Flux Network

Craft the controller and core

Start by placing a Flux Controller. It is the block that anchors every network you build. Around it you need a Flux Core as the central crafting material for the rest of the network pieces. Craft Flux Dust first, then use it to make the Flux Core, and use the Flux Core to craft the Flux Controller, Flux Plug, and Flux Point.

Connect a source and a destination

Place a Flux Plug against the block or machine that produces energy. Place a Flux Point against the block or machine that should receive energy. Open the Flux Controller and create a network, then open each Plug and Point with the Flux Configurator and assign it to that network. Energy now flows from every Plug on the network to every Point on the network.

Store the energy

Craft a Basic Flux Storage block and place it touching a Flux Plug or Flux Point, or link it to the network through one. The storage buffers energy so production that is not immediately consumed is not wasted. When you need more capacity, upgrade to Herculean Flux Storage or Gargantuan Flux Storage. Use the Flux Configurator to check the network's stored energy and transfer rate, and use the Admin Configurator only if you need to bypass normal limits.
