Adding Flux Storage to a Network

Pick a storage block

Three storage blocks exist: Basic Flux Storage, Herculean Flux Storage, and Gargantuan Flux Storage. Each holds more energy than the last. Craft the tier you can afford and place it so it connects to your network, either directly against a Flux Plug or Flux Point or wired in through the network's endpoints.

Charge and discharge

Storage on a network fills whenever your Flux Plugs are producing more than your Flux Points are consuming. It drains automatically when consumption exceeds production, so machines keep running through gaps in generation. You do not toggle anything; the Flux Controller balances the network for you. Open the controller to watch stored energy rise and fall.

Expand capacity

When the controller shows storage sitting full while your Plugs still have energy to give, add another storage block or replace the existing one with a higher tier. The flux storage recipe is used to craft these storage blocks, so gather the required Flux Core and related materials before starting. Keep storage near your endpoints to reduce the distance energy has to travel across the network. If you need to reconfigure which network a storage block belongs to, use the Flux Configurator on the connected Plug or Point.
