Turning Hide into Prepared Hide with FleshZ

Getting Raw Hide

Hide is the starting material in the FleshZ processing chain. Collect it from mobs as you normally would, then bring it to a Wood Rack. Any of the eleven rack types works: Acacia Wood Rack, Bamboo Wood Rack, Birch Wood Rack, Cherry Wood Rack, Crimson Wood Rack, Dark Oak Wood Rack, Jungle Wood Rack, Mangrove Wood Rack, Oak Wood Rack, Spruce Wood Rack, or Warped Wood Rack.

Processing on the Rack

Place your Wood Rack block down and interact with it while holding Hide. The rack holds the Hide while it cures into Prepared Hide. You do not need a crafting table for this step; the rack itself performs the conversion.

What Comes Next

Prepared Hide is the intermediate item. Combine or process it further to obtain Rotten Leather, the end product of the chain. Rotten Leather is what you use in downstream crafting recipes. Because each rack handles one Hide at a time, build several racks in a row if you are processing a stack of Hide. Mixing wood types is fine; the rack's wood type does not change the output, only its appearance. Keep a chest of Hide near your rack line so you can refill quickly.
