Crafting a Wood Rack

Wood Racks are the core workstation blocks of FleshZ. Each variant matches a wood type: Acacia Wood Rack, Bamboo Wood Rack, Birch Wood Rack, Cherry Wood Rack, Crimson Wood Rack, Dark Oak Wood Rack, Jungle Wood Rack, Mangrove Wood Rack, Oak Wood Rack, Spruce Wood Rack, and Warped Wood Rack. The mod registers twelve shaped crafting recipes, so the rack you build depends on which planks you feed into the grid. Arrange your chosen wood's planks in the standard rack pattern to produce the matching Wood Rack block.

Drying Hide into Leather

Once you have a Wood Rack placed, it becomes your processing station for animal skins. Raw Hide goes onto the rack and dries down into Rotten Leather. Rotten Leather is the intermediate material you need before you can push it further along the chain. Keep a steady supply of Hide coming in from hunting, because each rack holds one piece at a time and the conversion is what gates your leather production.

Upgrading to Prepared Hide

The final step in the chain is turning Rotten Leather into Prepared Hide. This is where the mod's single shapeless recipe comes in — combine your Rotten Leather with the required additional ingredient in a crafting grid to yield Prepared Hide. Prepared Hide is the finished product you want for crafting gear and equipment. Build several racks in parallel so you can dry multiple Hide pieces at once, then batch-convert the resulting Rotten Leather into Prepared Hide in one crafting session.
