FleshZ Recipe Types: Shaped, Shapeless, and Woodcutting

The Three Recipe Categories

FleshZ uses three recipe types you need to know when planning crafts: crafting_shaped, crafting_shapeless, and nemos-woodcutter:woodcutting. The shaped recipes are by far the most common in the mod, and the woodcutting entry is a single recipe tied to the woodcutter.

Shaped and Shapeless Crafts

Shaped recipes require ingredients in a specific grid arrangement. Most FleshZ blocks and items come from this type, so when a craft fails, check that your ingredients sit in the exact pattern the recipe expects rather than scattered anywhere in the grid.

Shapeless recipes only care about which ingredients are present, not where they sit. The mod has one shapeless recipe, so if a craft refuses to accept a rearranged grid, try it as a shapeless layout instead.

Woodcutting

One recipe uses nemos-woodcutter:woodcutting. This runs through a woodcutter-style station rather than a crafting table. If a Wood Rack or related block will not craft in your grid, check whether it belongs to the woodcutting recipe instead — the woodcutter handles that one entry, and the crafting table will not accept it.

Practical rule: try the crafting table first for anything shaped, fall back to a shapeless layout if the grid position seems irrelevant, and use the woodcutter for the single woodcutting recipe. Because the mod registers only thirteen items and blocks total, the recipe list is short — you can work through it quickly by testing each craft against the right station.
