FleshZ Hide Processing Chain: Hide to Prepared Hide

Step 1 — Get Hide

Everything in FleshZ starts with Hide. Kill animals and collect the raw Hide drops. Hide is the input for the entire processing chain, so stockpile more than you think you need before you start building racks.

Step 2 — Dry Hide on a Wood Rack

Place any Wood Rack block — Oak Wood Rack, Spruce Wood Rack, Birch Wood Rack, Jungle Wood Rack, Acacia Wood Rack, Dark Oak Wood Rack, Mangrove Wood Rack, Cherry Wood Rack, Bamboo Wood Rack, Crimson Wood Rack, or Warped Wood Rack — and put your Hide on it. The rack dries the Hide into Rotten Leather. Each rack processes one Hide at a time, so line up several racks if you want throughput.

Step 3 — Convert Rotten Leather to Prepared Hide

Take the Rotten Leather off your racks and bring it to a crafting grid. FleshZ includes one shapeless recipe that consumes Rotten Leather alongside its companion ingredient to produce Prepared Hide. Because it is shapeless, the positions of the items in the grid do not matter — just make sure every required stack is present. Prepared Hide is the end product of the chain and the material you use for the mod's finished crafts.

Scaling the Chain

Match your rack count to your Hide supply. If you are drying faster than you can convert, add more racks; if Rotten Leather is piling up, spend a session at the crafting grid turning it all into Prepared Hide.
