Choosing the Right Wood Rack in FleshZ

All Eleven Rack Types

FleshZ registers eleven Wood Rack blocks, one per wood set: Acacia Wood Rack, Bamboo Wood Rack, Birch Wood Rack, Cherry Wood Rack, Crimson Wood Rack, Dark Oak Wood Rack, Jungle Wood Rack, Mangrove Wood Rack, Oak Wood Rack, Spruce Wood Rack, and Warped Wood Rack. Every one of them performs the same function: holding Hide while it cures into Prepared Hide, and holding Prepared Hide while it becomes Rotten Leather.

Does the Wood Type Matter?

The wood type does not change the output. An Oak Wood Rack and a Warped Wood Rack both turn Hide into Prepared Hide at the same rate and yield the same Rotten Leather. The only difference is appearance, so pick the wood that matches your build. Overworld woods (Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Cherry, Mangrove, Bamboo) are easy to gather early. Crimson and Warped racks require Nether wood, so save those for Nether-themed builds.

Practical Setup

Place racks in a row along a wall, one block apart, so you can walk down the line loading Hide and collecting Prepared Hide. Use the same wood type for a clean look, or mix types for a rustic feel. Since the recipe is shaped, keep your wood materials organized in the crafting grid. If you have a nemos-woodcutter, use its woodcutting recipe to prepare rack materials faster. Store raw Hide in one chest and finished Rotten Leather in another to keep the line moving.
