How to Make Chitin Armor from Chitin

Collecting Chitin

Chitin drops from insect-type mobs such as the Emperor Weta, Enigmoth, and Cactoid. Farm these in the biomes where they spawn, or use their Spawn Eggs in a controlled pen. Each piece of Chitin Armor requires multiple Chitin, so gather a full stack before you start crafting.

Crafting the Set

Craft Chitin Helmet, Chitin Chestplate, Chitin Leggings, and Chitin Boots using standard armor-shaped recipes with Chitin in place of ingots. Equip the full set for a balanced defense that works well against the mod's insect and undead enemies.

Combine Chitin Armor with a Beast Claw or Ghoul Claw for melee builds. If you are heading into Cactoid territory, the set pairs nicely with Cactus Thorn weapons. For tougher fights against Avaton or Beelzebub, upgrade to Ghostly or Famine armor pieces once you have the required materials like Ectoplasm Ingot or Foul Hide.
