How to Farm Glow Shrooms and Cordyceps

Finding the Fungus

Glow Shroom grows as a three-part block: Glow Shroom, Glow Shroom Stem, and Glow Shroom Cap. Harvest all three parts when you find a patch. Cordyceps is a separate fungal block that infects and spreads — collect it carefully so it does not overtake your base.

Planting and Harvesting

Place Glow Shroom blocks on dirt or mycelium in low light. They emit light, making them useful for underground farms and mob-proof corridors. Break the Cap and Stem for additional drops. Cordyceps spreads to nearby blocks; contain it with stone or a solid border if you want a controlled farm.

Combine Glow Shroom drops with Ectoplasm to craft Glow-related items, or use them as decoration in crypt builds. Cordyceps feeds into recipes involving Diseased Wheat and Diseased Bread, which are required for several undead-themed foods. Keep a chest of Glow Shroom Caps near your brewing station for quick access.
