How to Craft Fish Plaques for Display

What Plaques Are For

Fish Plaques are decorative blocks that display your catches. The mod includes plaques for Bat fish, Boomfish, Catfish, Flopper, Gar fish, Koi fish, Sea Urchin, Slurp, and Stingray, plus a special §oCatfish Plaque. Each one is a placeable block, so you can mount them on walls or set them on floors as trophies.

Crafting a Plaque

Plaques are made with shaped crafting recipes. Open a crafting table and arrange the ingredients in a fixed pattern to produce the plaque you want. The exact grid differs per fish, but the logic is the same: you combine materials tied to that fish into a display block. Because these are shaped recipes, the position of each ingredient in the grid matters — a mirrored or shifted layout will not produce the plaque.

Once crafted, place the plaque like any other block. The §oCatfish Plaque is a distinct variant from the standard Catfish Plaque, so craft the one that matches the fish you caught. If you are decorating a fishing hut, line several plaques along a wall in the order you caught them. Keep raw fish for smelting into Cooked Catfish and Cooked Gar, and reserve one of each species for its plaque so you have both a food supply and a display collection.
