Make Ores Glow and Add Borders for Better Visibility

Install the Optional Utilities Pack

The main pack includes randomized textures, but glowing ores require an additional optional pack.

Steps:

1. Download and install the Optional Utilities Pack

2. Ensure you have either Iris or Continuity mod installed (required for this feature)

3. Load your world

4. Ores will now emit light and display a visible border around them

What You'll See

Ores like iron, gold, diamond, and copper will glow softly in dark caves, making them stand out against stone. A subtle border frames each ore block, further improving visibility without looking unnatural.

Mod Requirements

This feature depends on either Iris (for shader-based lighting) or Continuity (for connected textures and emissive effects). Without one of these installed, the glowing effect won't appear.

Underground Mining Benefits

Glowing ores are especially helpful in deep caves and lava-filled caverns where lighting is poor. You'll spot valuable ores much faster without needing to place torches everywhere.
