Get Items with Old Textures Using Commands

Use the /give Command

Instead of renaming items in an anvil, you can directly obtain items with their classic textures using a command.

Basic Syntax:

`

/give @s [item_name]

`

Replace [item_name] with the item you want. The command will give you the item with its old texture already applied.

Example Usage

Open your chat and type a /give command targeting yourself or another player. The item will appear in your inventory with the classic look ready to use.

Advantages Over Anvil Renaming

Using commands is faster than the anvil method, especially if you need multiple items at once. It's also useful for setting up builds or creative mode projects without manual renaming.

CIT Mod Still Required

Even with command-obtained items, you still need a CIT mod like CIT Resewn installed for the old textures to display. The command gives you the item with the proper name tag, but the mod handles the visual swap.
