Find and Identify Infested Blocks Underground

Enable the Optional Utilities Pack

Infested blocks are notoriously hard to spot in vanilla Minecraft. This pack includes an optional utility that makes them much easier to identify.

Steps:

1. Ensure you have the Optional Utilities Pack installed alongside the main pack

2. Load into your world

3. Infested blocks will now appear darker than their normal counterparts

How It Helps

Infested stone, deepslate, and other variants now have a visibly darker appearance, letting you spot them before accidentally breaking them and spawning silverfish. This is especially useful when mining in caves or strip-mining.

Visual Difference

Compare the block you're about to mine with nearby normal blocks of the same type. The infested version will have noticeably reduced brightness, making it stand out even in low light conditions.

No Performance Impact

This is a texture-only change, so enabling it won't affect your frame rate or server performance.
