Copy and Paste Large Structures Without Lag

Using Lazy Copy for Instant Clipboard Operations

When you need to duplicate massive builds—castles, terrain, or entire districts—the standard copy command can cause server lag. The //lazycopy command solves this by processing the copy in the background.

Steps:

1. Select the area you want to copy using your wand or selection tool

2. Type //lazycopy to copy the selection to your clipboard

3. Navigate to where you want to paste

4. Use //paste to place the copied structure

Why This Matters

Unlike traditional copying, lazy copy doesn't freeze the server while reading block data. The plugin handles the heavy lifting asynchronously, meaning other players won't experience stuttering or lag spikes. This is especially useful when working with selections larger than a few thousand blocks.

You can also use //lazycopy -a to copy air blocks as well, which is helpful if you're duplicating structures that need to preserve empty spaces exactly as they were.
