How to Cook in a Cooking Pot
Placing and Fueling the Cooking Pot
Place the Cooking Pot on top of a heat source. It holds ingredients and cooks them over time. Right-click the pot to open its interface, then add ingredients. The pot must have heat beneath it to progress.
Cooking Recipes
Add the required ingredients in any order. The pot combines them into a finished dish. Supported outputs include:
- Beef Stew
- Bone Broth
- Cabbage Rolls
- Chicken Soup
- Dumplings
- Fish Stew
- Fried Rice
- Mushroom Rice
- Noodle Soup
- Onion Soup
- Pasta with Meatballs
- Rice Roll Medley
- Baked Cod Stew
- Apple Cider
- Hot Cocoa
Using the Pot Efficiently
Keep a Basket or Bamboo Basket nearby to store overflow ingredients. Use the Cutting Board first to prepare any cut ingredients the recipe needs. Many pot dishes require Cooked Rice, so cook rice in the pot or on a campfire before assembling larger meals.
Progression Logic
Build the Cooking Pot early using iron. It is the main way to turn raw crops and meats into high-value meals. Combine pot dishes with Bread and cut ingredients from the Cutting Board to make sandwiches and rolls. Pot meals restore more hunger than individual ingredients and are the backbone of a sustainable food supply.
