How to Craft a 10mm Pistol and Keep It Fed

Build the Gun

Craft the 10mm Pistol at a crafting table using a shaped recipe. You need the pistol's component items in the correct grid layout; check the recipe book in your crafting interface to see the exact pattern, since the mod registers it as a crafting_shaped recipe. Once crafted, the 10mm Pistol appears in your inventory ready to fire.

Make 10mm Rounds

Ammunition is a separate craft. 10mm Rounds are produced through a crafting recipe as well. Gather the base materials the recipe calls for and craft them in batches — you will burn through ammo quickly, so make several stacks before heading out. Store spare rounds in an Ammo Box to keep your inventory tidy.

Field Notes

• Keep the pistol in your hotbar and the 10mm Rounds in the slot next to it for fast reloads.
• Bottle Caps are the wasteland currency; loot them from containers and enemies as you travel.
• If you run dry mid-fight, fall back and craft more rounds rather than engaging with a melee weapon you are not specced for.
• The 10mm Pistol pairs well with light armor early on; upgrade to heavier gear once you have the materials.
