Prank Your Friends with Fake Hardcore Mode

Set Up the Visual Trick

This resource pack is perfect for convincing friends you're playing hardcore when you're actually on a safer difficulty.

1. Install and activate the Fake Hardcore Heart Resource Pack (see the installation guide)

2. Start a world on peaceful, easy, normal, or hard difficulty—whichever you prefer

3. Your health bar will now display hardcore-style hearts

Execute the Prank

When your friends join or watch your stream:

• They'll see the hardcore hearts and assume you're on hardcore mode
• They'll think you risk losing your entire world if you die
• Continue playing normally; the pack only changes the visual appearance

Keep the Illusion

Be careful not to reveal the trick too early. Avoid:

• Respawning after death (this would expose that you're not on hardcore)
• Mentioning your actual difficulty setting
• Taking unnecessary risks that would seem suicidal on real hardcore

The longer you maintain the illusion, the better the prank. Eventually reveal the truth for maximum comedic effect!
