Crafting the Incandescent Light and Oil Lantern

Two More Light Blocks

The mod registers three placeable light blocks: Candle Lantern, Incandescent Light, and Oil Lantern. The fourth registry item, Vine Garland, is decorative rather than a lamp. All of them come from shaped crafting recipes, so each one needs its ingredients laid out in a fixed pattern on the crafting grid.

Incandescent Light

The Incandescent Light gives you a clean, exposed-bulb glow. To make it, open a crafting table and arrange the recipe ingredients in the shaped pattern. Shaped recipes only output when every ingredient sits in its exact slot, so build the pattern deliberately instead of filling the grid at random. When the result slot shows the Incandescent Light, pull it out.

Oil Lantern

The Oil Lantern is the hanging-style lamp of the set. It uses its own shaped recipe, separate from the Candle Lantern and Incandescent Light. Place the ingredients in the required pattern on the crafting grid and collect the finished Oil Lantern from the result slot.

Practical Tips

• If a recipe refuses to craft, clear the entire grid and rebuild the pattern from scratch.
• Keep a stack of each ingredient on hand so you can batch-craft lights for a full build.
• Mix all three light blocks in one room for varied lighting; they are separate blocks, so each placement is independent.
• Vine Garland pairs well with the lamps as a non-light decoration.
