Use Your Race's Crouch Ability Effectively

Activating Your Racial Skill

Each race has a unique active ability triggered by holding crouch (default: Shift). This isn't passive—you must hold the button to activate it. The effect depends on your chosen race and lasts while you're crouching.

Race Ability Examples

Moonshroud gain invisibility while crouched, perfect for sneaking past mobs or hiding from other players.

Turtlekin receive conduit power and bonus oxygen underwater—essential for ocean exploration.

Frostborne freeze nearby enemies, giving you time to escape or attack.

Endling shoot shulker bullets (works best with scythes equipped).

Combat Tips

Crouch abilities work best when you're not moving. Find cover or high ground, crouch, and let the effect do its work. Some abilities (like Moonshroud's invisibility) break when you attack, so plan your engagement carefully. Experiment with your race's crouch skill in low-stakes situations first to understand its range and duration.
