Reduce Saturation to Prevent Eye Strain
Why Desaturation Helps
If you play for long sessions, highly saturated colors can cause eye fatigue, especially on bright monitors or in well-lit rooms. Lowering saturation creates a softer, more muted visual experience that's easier on your eyes during extended play.
Adjusting the Slider
Open Video Settings and move the EzSaturation slider to the left. This reduces color intensity across all blocks, mobs, and particles while maintaining the game's recognizable appearance.
Testing for Comfort
Start with a modest reduction and play for 15–20 minutes. If colors still feel too vibrant, lower saturation further. The goal is a calm, neutral palette that doesn't feel washed out but also doesn't assault your vision.
Preserving Visibility
Even with reduced saturation, you should still distinguish between different blocks and biomes easily. If the world starts looking gray or monochromatic, you've gone too far—increase saturation slightly until visual clarity returns.
This setting pairs well with lower brightness and gamma adjustments for a complete eye-strain reduction setup.
