Boost Colors in Dim or Dull Biomes

Why Some Biomes Look Flat

Certain biomes—like swamps, dark forests, or underground areas—naturally have muted colors. Standard Minecraft rendering can make these feel visually boring, especially if your monitor or graphics settings already lean toward desaturation.

Increasing Saturation for Visual Impact

Open Video Settings and locate the EzSaturation slider. Move it to the right to increase color vibrancy. This makes greens pop in forests, blues stand out in water, and browns become richer in dirt and wood.

Finding Your Sweet Spot

Increase saturation incrementally—large jumps can make the game look unnatural or plastic. A moderate boost (roughly 20–40% above default, depending on your preference) usually restores visual interest without breaking the vanilla aesthetic.

Balancing Across All Biomes

Remember that saturation affects the entire world uniformly. If you boost colors to make swamps vibrant, bright biomes like deserts or savannas may become oversaturated. Aim for a setting that feels good across multiple biome types rather than optimizing for just one.
