How to Make Aerialite Ingots and Use Them

Getting the Materials

Aerialite is the base metal for several ExtraBotany tools and armor pieces. You need Aerialite Ingot as the core item, plus Aerialite Nugget and Block of Aerialite for storage and crafting.

Start by obtaining the raw materials through your normal mining and mob drops, then process them at a crafting table. The mod registers a smelting recipe, so at least one Aerialite-related item is produced in a furnace. Combine your source materials in the crafting grid to produce Aerialite Ingot, and break ingots back down into Aerialite Nugget when a recipe calls for smaller amounts.

Crafting with Aerialite

Once you have ingots, craft the Aerialite Hammer for a heavy mining tool. Nine ingots combine into a Block of Aerialite for compact storage, and the block can be reversed into ingots.

Aerialite feeds into the Elementium and Gaia quartz crafting chains, so keep a stack on hand. If a recipe asks for Aerialite Nugget, craft one ingot into nine nuggets rather than hunting for them separately. Store spare ingots as a Block of Aerialite to save chest space, then break the block when you need ingots again.

Because Aerialite Ingot is used in multiple hammers and in the smithing_transform recipes, craft a batch of at least a dozen ingots before starting a bigger project. That way you will not run back to the furnace mid-build.
