How to Craft Storage Disks and Storage Blocks in Extra Disks

Crafting Storage Disks

Every storage tier follows the same pattern: a Storage Part plus a housing item. The tiers available are 256k Storage Disk, 1024k Storage Disk, 4096k Storage Disk, 16384k Storage Disk, 65536k Storage Disk, 1048m Storage Disk, 262m Storage Disk, and Infinite Storage Disk. Each has a matching Storage Part (256k Storage Part, 1024k Storage Part, and so on) and a matching Storage Block (256k Storage Block, 1024k Storage Block, etc.).

To build a disk, craft its Storage Part first, then combine it with the housing. The Advanced Storage Housing is the housing item used for the higher tiers, and the Advanced Machine Casing is the machine component used in advanced recipes. Check the recipe viewer for the exact grid layout of each tier, since the part and housing arrangement is consistent across tiers but the ingredients scale with tier.

Storage Blocks

Storage Blocks are placeable versions of each tier: 256k Storage Block, 1024k Storage Block, 4096k Storage Block, 16384k Storage Block, 65536k Storage Block, 1048m Storage Block, 262m Storage Block, and Infinite Storage Block. Craft the block for the tier you want, then place it in the world as a compact storage unit.

Progression Tip

Start at 256k, craft the Storage Part, then move up. The Advanced Machine Casing and Advanced Storage Housing gate the higher tiers, so craft those first if you are aiming for 16384k or above.
