Extra Disks Recipe Types: Shaped, Shapeless, and Smelting

Shaped and Shapeless Recipes

Extra Disks uses two crafting recipe types: crafting_shaped and crafting_shapeless. Shaped recipes require a specific grid arrangement, so the position of each Storage Part, Fluid Storage Part, Advanced Storage Housing, or Advanced Machine Casing matters. Shapeless recipes ignore position and only check that the correct items are present.

When a recipe fails, first confirm whether it is shaped or shapeless in the recipe viewer. For shaped recipes, rearrange the ingredients to match the displayed pattern exactly. For shapeless recipes, simply ensure every required item is in the grid.

Smelting

There is one smelting recipe in the mod. It converts Raw Withering Processor into Withering Processor. Place Raw Withering Processor in a furnace and smelt it to get Withering Processor. Withering Processor is then used in the Infinite-tier recipes for the Infinite Storage Disk, Infinite Storage Block, Infinite Fluid Storage Disk, and Infinite Fluid Storage Block.

Practical Order

1. Craft the Advanced Machine Casing and Advanced Storage Housing.

2. Craft the Storage Part or Fluid Storage Part for your target tier.

3. Combine the part with the housing using the shaped or shapeless recipe shown in the viewer.

4. For Infinite tiers, smelt Raw Withering Processor into Withering Processor first, then craft the Infinite Storage Part or Infinite Fluid Storage Part.
