How to Craft and Use Panel Buttons

Crafting Panel Buttons

Panel Buttons come in eleven wood and stone variants: Acacia Panel Button, Bamboo Panel Button, Birch Panel Button, Cherry Panel Button, Crimson Panel Button, Dark Oak Panel Button, Jungle Panel Button, Mangrove Panel Button, Oak Panel Button, Spruce Panel Button, Stone Panel Button, and Warped Panel Button. Each is made with a shaped crafting recipe using its matching material, so gather the wood or stone type you want before heading to a crafting table. Place the ingredients in the pattern the recipe book shows to produce the panel button for that material.

Placing and Wiring

Panel Buttons are thin wall-mounted buttons. Place one on the side of a block, then run redstone dust or a redstone line from the button to whatever you want to trigger — a door, a piston, a lamp, or a rail. Pressing the button sends a short redstone pulse, the same way a standard button does, but the panel shape lets you mount it flush against walls and machines for a cleaner build.

Use them anywhere you would use a normal button: hidden doors, piston traps, lamp switches, or compact redstone circuits. Because each variant matches its parent wood or stone, you can blend them into builds made of that material. If you need a button that stays on until pressed again, use an Illuminated Toggle Button instead. For a delayed pulse, use the Delay Button.
