How to Build with the Capacitive Touch Block and Delay Button

Capacitive Touch Block

The Capacitive Touch Block is a redstone component that responds to touch rather than a physical button press. Place it where you want a hidden or flush activation point — inside a wall, under a floor, or as part of a control panel. Wire redstone dust from the block to whatever it should trigger, such as a piston door, lamp, or rail. Because it has no protruding button, it blends into builds and works well for secret entrances or modern-looking control surfaces.

Delay Button

The Delay Button sends a redstone signal after a short delay instead of instantly. Place it on a block face, run redstone from it to your target, and press it. The delayed pulse is useful for timed doors, staggered piston sequences, or traps where you want a moment between pressing and the effect firing. Combine it with a Panel Button for instant pulses, or with an Illuminated Toggle Button for a switch that stays on.

Combining Components

You can chain these together in one circuit. For example, use a Capacitive Touch Block as the trigger, route redstone into a Delay Button, and let the Delay Button fire a piston. Or use an Illuminated Toggle Button to hold a circuit on, with a Delay Button to add timing to part of the sequence. Each component is crafted with its own shaped recipe, so check the recipe book for the exact ingredients before building.
