How to Find and Use a Fairy Ring in the Extended Mushrooms Mod

Locating a Fairy Ring

Fairy rings generate naturally in dark, damp biomes such as swamp, dark forest, and mushroom fields. Look for a perfect circle of mushrooms on the ground — typically seven to twelve caps arranged in a ring, often with a slightly different block or flower at the center. The ring is easiest to spot at night or in shaded areas where the surrounding grass is dim. If you find a partial ring, dig around the perimeter; the missing mushrooms may be buried under dirt or leaves.

Activating the Ring

Stand inside the ring and wait for the center block to emit particles. Once active, the ring functions as a portal anchor. Place a Fairy Ring Core in the center block to stabilize the portal. Without a core, the ring will only flicker and will not transport you. To craft a Fairy Ring Core, combine four Mushroom Caps and one Glowstone Dust in a crafting table. After placing the core, step into the center and you will be transported to the Fairy Ring dimension. To return, build or find another ring in the dimension and place a core there. Bring extra cores — they are consumed on use. If the ring stops working, check that the center block is not obstructed by water or lava.
