Maximize Mining Yield from Expanded Debris Clusters

Identify Cluster Boundaries

When you find your first Ancient Debris block, treat it as the center of a larger deposit. Carefully mine outward in all directions—up, down, left, right, forward, and backward—to map the full extent of the expanded vein. Expanded clusters are significantly larger than single blocks, so patience pays off.

Use Proper Tools

Equip a Netherite or Diamond pickaxe with Efficiency enchantment to mine faster. Unbreaking helps preserve tool durability during long mining sessions. Mending allows you to repair tools using experience orbs dropped by mobs.

Organize Your Inventory

Bring multiple pickaxes in case one breaks. Use hoppers and chests at your mining site to store debris as you collect it, preventing inventory overflow. This lets you continue mining without returning to base repeatedly.

Systematic Exploration

Mine in organized patterns—branch mining or strip mining—to ensure you encounter multiple expanded veins. The data pack increases cluster sizes, so each vein you find yields substantially more material than vanilla deposits.
