Activate Connected Portal Textures with CTM

Set Up CTM Support

The Deeper and Darker portal receives a major visual upgrade when you enable CTM (Connected Textures Mod) support. This makes the portal frame connect seamlessly with custom textures.

1. Verify CTM is enabled in your resource pack settings

2. Locate the portal block in a Deeper and Darker dimension

3. Reload your resource pack if needed (F3 + T on most launchers)

With CTM active, the portal will display connected textures that flow naturally across the frame, creating a more cohesive and mysterious appearance. Without CTM, the portal still works but uses standard block textures instead.

If the portal doesn't update, try placing and breaking the portal block again to force a texture refresh. CTM support is optional—the pack works fine without it, but enabling it significantly enhances the visual quality of portals and other connected structures in the Deeper and Darker dimension.
