How to Use the Auto Compressor and Auto Compressed Hammer
Compress materials automatically
Place an Auto Compressor and give it the items you want compressed. It turns loose materials into their compressed block forms, such as Compressed Cobblestone, Compressed Dirt, Compressed Sand, Compressed Gravel, Compressed Flint, Compressed Netherrack, Compressed End Stone, Compressed Soul Sand, Compressed Dust, Compressed Andesite, Compressed Diorite, and Compressed Granite. Route the output to a chest so the machine does not stall.
If you need the compressor to stop after a set amount instead of running your stock dry, use the Auto Compressor (Rationing) variant. It compresses only up to the limit you configure, which is useful when the same materials feed other machines.
Hammer compressed blocks
An Auto Compressed Hammer takes compressed blocks and hammers them down into the crushed forms. Feed it Compressed Cobblestone, Compressed Andesite, Compressed Diorite, Compressed Granite, Compressed Netherrack, or Compressed End Stone and it produces the matching crushed output, including Compressed Crushed Andesite, Compressed Crushed Diorite, Compressed Crushed Granite, Compressed Crushed Netherrack, and Compressed Crushed End Stone.
Pair the two machines: Auto Compressor feeds the Auto Compressed Hammer, and the hammer feeds a sieve or storage. Use Ugly Steel Plating where the machine recipes call for it. Keep input chests stocked and output chests empty so both machines run without interruption.
