How to Use Crucibles, Baits, and the Chicken Stick

Set up a crucible

Crucibles come in wood variants: Oak Crucible, Spruce Crucible, Birch Crucible, Jungle Crucible, Acacia Crucible, Dark Oak Crucible, Mangrove Crucible, Cherry Crucible, Crimson Crucible, and Warped Crucible. Place one and use it to process materials the way the crucible recipe requires. Pick the wood type that matches the resources you have on hand; the function is the same across variants.

Attract animals with bait

Baits are placed to draw specific animals. The set includes Cat Bait, Chicken Bait, Cow Bait, Donkey Bait, Fox Bait, Horse Bait, Llama Bait, Mooshroom Bait, Ocelot Bait, Parrot Bait, Pig Bait, Polar Bear Bait, Rabbit Bait, Sheep Bait, Squid Bait, Turtle Bait, and Wolf Bait. Use the matching bait rather than a generic one so you do not attract the wrong creature.

Use the Chicken Stick and other tools

Chicken Stick is a handheld tool for interacting with chickens. Bat Zapper handles bats. Wood Chippings and Uncompressed Coal are materials you will collect while working with these systems.

Ore Smasher and Evolved Orechid are the ore-processing blocks in this set. Place them where you process raw ore and feed them the inputs their recipes require. Keep the relevant baits and tools in a chest near your animal pens so you can restock quickly.
